2018 World Cup: What next for UK sport?

As summer draws to a close, the nation can look back at what has been a memorable few months for English football. England started their World Cup campaign back in June, with a 2-1 win over Tunisia and what come next, could not have been predicted. Although our journey ended in the semi-finals against a tough opposition in Croatia, we enjoyed some unforgettable football and under manager Gareth Southgate, faith was restored back into the national team, whilst basking in the glorious heatwave which graced the UK. With the World Cup now over and France lifting the prestigious trophy last month, football lovers from all over the country were left wondering what could have been. With the Premier League season kicking off last weekend, the beautiful game has returned to our screens; but on top of this, we can also look forward to the Quilter Internationals, being held at Twickenham.

On 3rd November England will take on their first opponents, South Africa, at the home of English rugby, Twickenham. During the internationals, England will also host Japan, Australia and welcome New Zealand to Twickenham for the first time since 2014. The four games are sure to be worth the wait and with what promises to be an electric atmosphere inside the stadium, tickets are set to sell out fast. If you are interested in attending one of the games then you may want to make the day that little bit more memorable by looking at Twickenham corporate hospitality packages from providers like Keith Prowse. With tough opponents and a strong England team headed by Eddie Jones, rugby fans who can’t make it to Twickenham will be waiting in anticipation for the opening game against South Africa.

With a nation’s dream of being crowned World Cup winners stopped by Croatia, fans across the country were left with footballing blues. Now the Premier League is back underway and only 2 months until Twickenham hosts England’s first game of the Quilter Internationals; our sporting blues are no longer and we’re set for an action packed finish to the 2018 sporting calendar.
